NBC Studios is the headquarters of the NBC television network and home to a number of non-Disney TV shows such as Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
This studios relation to Disney dates back to November 15, 1964 when Muppet legends Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Don Sahlin, and Jerry Juhl painted a set of utility closet pipes behind studio 6B while awaiting their appearance on the Jack Parr Show.
The infamous pipes have since been preserved and are now featured as a stop on NBC’s Studio Tour and similar painted pipes can be found at Walt Disney World’s Muppet*Vision 3D attraction.
