Once the sit of Walt and Lilly’s apartment, this plot of land is now the Sunset Nursery

In 1926, Walt and his wife Lillian moved from their first apartment to a larger apartment here on North Commonwealth Ave.

Following the initial success of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in 1926, Walt and Roy bought a plot of land and built matching homes next door to each other on Lyric Ave. The couples moved in during December of 1927.

The former Commonwealth Avenue apartments were demolished in 1963 and today, the site of the Disney’s former home is now Sunset Nursery.
