Kimball Trace: Ward Kimball was one of Walt Disney’s original team of animators/artists known as the Nine Old Men. Kingswell: A reference to the street in Los Angeles, Kingswell Avenue, where Walt lived and worked when he first moved to Hollywood. Marceline: The name of the town where Walt Disney spent the formative years of his childhood. Silverbrook: Presumably inspired by Silver Lake, the location of Walt and Roy’s first large animation studio in LA. Symphony Grove: An homage to Walt Disney’s Silly Symphonies cartoons. The streets within these neighborhoods also make reference to people and places with Disney significance including: Carthay Drive: Hollywood’s Carthay Circle Theatre hosted the premiere of Disney’s first animated feature-length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
